A close-up shot captures a climber in a vibrant red jacket, meticulously handling a thick, white rope while secured in a black and yellow climbing harness laden with metal carabiners and gear; their hands, clad in tan work gloves, grip the rope and a bright orange ascender, suggesting precise control during a climb or rappel, with the blurred background hinting at a rocky or mountainous terrain.

The Smarter Way to Work at Height

Scaffolding is slow, expensive and disruptive. Rope access does the same work — maintenance, cleaning, inspection, repair — at a fraction of the cost and without blocking access to your building for weeks on end.

Every operator in our network is an IRATA Member Company: independently audited, fully insured and safety-accredited. We don't list anyone who hasn't passed our vetting process.

Describe your project, and we'll match you with up to three qualified operators in your area. You compare quotes, pick the best fit, and pay nothing for the introduction.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does IRATA certification actually mean?
IRATA is the global gold standard for rope access safety. There are three technician levels, and every team must include a Level 3 supervisor. Crucially, we only list IRATA Member Companies — meaning the company itself has been audited, not just individual technicians on its books.
02 How much cheaper is rope access than scaffolding?
Most projects come in 50–70% below the equivalent scaffolding cost. To put a number on it: scaffolding a 5-storey building in a city centre typically runs £15,000–£25,000, while rope access for the same scope sits around £4,500–£6,000. A 2-person IRATA team day rate starts from roughly £900+VAT.
03 How does the quoting process work?
You tell us about your project through the contact form. We match you with up to three vetted operators in your area, and you typically hear back within 24 hours. You compare quotes, choose the operator you prefer, and our matching service costs you nothing.
04 Is rope access actually safe?
It has one of the lowest incident rates of any work-at-height method. IRATA publishes annual safety statistics showing an exemplary record across millions of working hours globally. All work in the UK is governed by the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
05 Which parts of the UK do you cover?
The whole of the UK. We have vetted operators in over 30 cities — from London and Manchester to specialist hubs like Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth, Grimsby and Grangemouth. If there's rope access work happening in your area, we can connect you.
06 How long does a typical rope access job take?
Most jobs are completed in one to three days. Because there's no scaffolding to erect and dismantle, setup takes hours rather than days. A window clean on a 10-storey block might take a single day; a full façade survey, two to three. Your quotes will include a clear timeline for the specific work.
07 Will rope access work on my building?
Rope access works on almost any structure with a suitable anchor point at the top — offices, tower blocks, churches, bridges, industrial chimneys, wind turbines, even oil rigs. If a building has complex overhangs or no viable anchor points, a good operator will tell you upfront and suggest alternatives. Describe your building in the enquiry form and we'll confirm suitability before matching you.
08 Are the operators fully insured?
Yes. Every operator in our network carries public liability insurance (minimum £5 million) and employer's liability insurance. We verify insurance certificates as part of our vetting process, so you don't need to chase paperwork yourself.
09 What happens in bad weather?
Rope access work is paused in high winds (typically above 25 mph), heavy rain, lightning, or icy conditions — safety comes first. Operators monitor forecasts and will reschedule affected days at no extra cost. Most jobs build weather contingency into the programme, so short delays rarely push back completion.
10 Am I committed once I receive quotes?
Not at all. Every quote is free and completely no-obligation. You're under no pressure to accept any of them, and there's no fee from us whether you go ahead or not. We only succeed when you find the right operator for the job.
